What do they mean and why are they important?

Accredited Buyer Representative
This designation denotes a Sales Associate who is qualified to provide buyer representation and is familiar with buyer brokerage and buyer agency issues. Requires a 12-hour course, active membership in REBAC, and at least five documented transactions during the previous 18th month period where the Sales Associate acted as a buyer’s representative. Awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC).

Certified Distressed Property Expert
Charlene is a real estate professional with specific understanding to the complex issues confronting the real estate industry, and the foreclosure avoidance options available to owners. Through comprehensive training and experience, CPDEs are able to provide solutions for homeowners facing hardships in today’s market, specifically short sales.

Certified Residential Specialist
This is the “master’s degree of real estate”. Every CRS Designee must have a proven track record in the business, as well as advanced education in related areas like finance, technology and marketing. The training available to CRS Designees includes a strong focus on technology and its applications in the real estate business. Awarded by the Residential Sales Council. Only 4% of all Agents have this designation.

Certified Negotiation Specialist
The CNE professional has been trained in advanced negotiation techniques and approaches. The training enables the agent to better help the client achieve your their goals. The CNE professional will be able to handle real estate negotiations with skill and excellence.  Clients can be confident they will get the very best results when choosing a CNE Professional

Graduate Realtor Institute
The GRI designation is recognized nationwide as a mark of distinction earned by less than 10% of all REALTORS®. Only members of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) can be awarded this designation. The GRI designation is earned upon successful completion of a rigorous program of course work covering many areas of real estate. Displaying “GRI” after their name is a way REALTORS® communicate their dedication, knowledge and professional achievement.
